1965 Galaxie Sedan
Bought: mid 1986.
Sold: Jan 1988.

It's 1986, I returned from the Street Machine Nationals in my GT, and decided I needed a new daily driver. I then bought the 1965 Galaxie you see here which was made up from the best of 2 Galaxies the previous owner had. Hence the different coloured doors. The XM Falcon now had to go to make way for this Galaxie.
With the plan of once again travelling to Canberra, this time for 88 Summernats, the Galaxie needed rust repairs done and a paint job. A bone vinyl roof was fitted, and then the car was taken back to bare metal and painted in approx 8 cans of grey primer using one of Dan's Special Pressure Pack Paint Jobs.
A technique hardly used today!
We did the 88 Summernats, and that is where I sighted the 1970 Galaxie I now own.

Engine: 390ci Big Block V8.
Transmission: 3 Spd Automatic [Cruise-o-Matic].
Engine Modifications: 780 Vac Sec Holley.
Wheels and Tyres: 15x7 Globelines.
F & R: Uniroyal Radials
Rear Axle: Ford 9 inch.
3.00:1 Ratio.

All the photos below, were taken during the trip to the 88 Summernats.
We took in many of the major places in between Perth and Sydney, which also included Adelaide and Melbourne.
A great scenic spot was the Great Ocean Road.
