Colin's VP Commodore Drag Car
Colin is the wild animal of the bunch! He owns and drives this wheelstanding Commodore at the Quit Motorplex drag meetings. This is the first non Ford to be included on this site, But like practically all drag cars, it uses a FORD 9inch diff, and in this case, the car is painted in FORD Citric Acid.

I first met him when he came to the Falcon GT Club in the early '80s in his XB GT. Never heard from him again for quite a few years, until he fronted up Ravenswood Raceway in his XY GT clone Super Street drag car. This car had a 2V headed Cleveland, and ran a best of 11.95 naturally aspirated, or 11.00 flat on Nitrous through a C6 transmission. It was when he was selling parts from this car to Lindsay for his Telstar, that we again made contact.
His next racer was a Ford Capri, powered again by a 2V headed Cleveland , which ran a best of 10.86 and 125mph.

It was in his next drag car, where Colin being the "crazy" man he is, decided that if ya wanna go Faster, and ya wanna Rev it, then ya gotta Chev it!

This next car was once again a Ford Capri, but this time utilizing a half chassis, powered by a 400 small block Chev, and topped off with a 1050 Gas Dominator. It also must have had the worlds tallest hornet scoop. This car ran a best ET of 9.34 @ 144mph.

A 1979 Mustang was his last Ford before going to his current Commodore. The Mustang was powered by a 434 small block Chev, topped with 23 degree AFR heads, which was good enough to get this wheelstanding black beast to a best ever ET of 8.82 @ 152 mph. I don't think Colin knew that front wheels were for steering, as these ones were always sky high in the air. The crowd loved it, and so did Colin.

His current car, the VP Commodore, continues where the Mustang left off. Fast....check, Loud....check, Smokie Burnouts....check, Wheelstands....check.
He may be a crazy animal (like his car), talks super fast (like his car), is loud (like his car), but man, he is good! And he'll even admit it!
