Cruizin Appearance.

In July 2002, I was approached by Kate, one of the crew from Cruizin (A Perth based public access TV show that features the hot rodding/customising scene in W.Aust) to see if I wanted to appear in a segment on the show, featuring my GT and the Galaxie. A week later, we met in a carpark near my home, armed with the two cars, and a bundle of one-liners I had been practising to my self all week. Kate had no idea, but I had sort of rehearsed what I was going to say, as I could guess which way the interviews would go.

First off, I drove the GT into the carpark, and the interview was based around the car and build up, including the Summernats trip, and how the GT Club came about. This interview was a fairly serious affair, with a few laughs. The filming of the GT then began.

The Galaxie was next. While it was being filmed, me and Kate were discussing how we were to do the next interview. It was decided it would not be as serious, and this is when the fun really began. I also had a little input, and decided how the car would come onto view, and how to do the exit. ( No burnouts allowed....damn! ) Also, was the decision to do the interview this time with the Galaxie in the background.

It was all good fun, especially out of the blue, after the interview was finished, when I asked Kate what she had written on her T-shirt. The camera was still rolling, and the next few minutes were quite hillarious. All up, there was about 45 minutes of filming, and on this occasion I really did have my 15 minutes of fame, when it was condensed down to that size, and they even had to go to a commercial break between the two segments. The show aired 8 days after shooting, in mid July.
