Scott's 1972 V8 Capri GT When I first met Scott in the mid 80's, he already owned this silver 1972 V6 Ford Capri GT. Although originally Lime Glaze in colour, a previous owner decided a change was needed. In late 1987, Scott and I got together, with his limited budget, and made the attempt at fitting a 302W and C4 auto to the Capri, in preparation for the 88 Summernats. A custom kit was acquired, and the job of removing the old V6 and gearbox had begun. Within a week or so, the V6 and box were sold off, and there was no turning back. As the Summernats got closer, I decided that the job would never be completed on time, so it was decided to get my 1965 Galaxie ready for the trip. After returning from the Nats, and many frustrating hours or days later, the Capri emerged from the Shed to hit the streets. It remained basically stock for some time until Scott had a massive brainwave. The plan of attack was to eventually fit a EFI 5.0, T5 5speed, 9 inch, and give the car a complete makeover including a fresh paint job and interior upgrades. Knowing Scott as I do, he has become a perfectionist in every way, and only photos can show the outcome of the rebuild.
